What is Great Barr Community Hub?
The Great Barr community has a fantastic brand new, purpose built meeting place, called‘Great Barr Community Hub’. ‘The Hub’ was built with a £327,100 grant from the Community Buildings Programme of the Big Lottery Fund back in 2009 and was also part funded by the 20th Walsall Scout Group, who worked tirelessly over the last 20 years to raise over £140,000. This fundraising helped to secure the land, get planning permission and lay the foundations. ‘The Hub’ was finally completed in summer 2010.
